Amores Perros

Mi basta stare in compagnia dei miei amici a quattro zampe per sentirmi amata ed a mio agio; sicuramente loro lo sentono e ricambiano.
Ziggy e Zorro non solo mi hanno scortata per tutto il pomeriggio, ma mi han fatto letteralmente da guide apripista per mostrarmi la loro terra. Li ho seguiti fiduciosa in esplorazione di un lieve promontorio che si prolunga verso il mare tra le spiagge di Pina e di Caraís a Setiba. Il contrasto tra la roccia nera e la schiuma delle onde, che s’infrangono rumorosamente, mi ha lasciata incantata. Grazie ad alcune nozioni di geologia acquisite negli scorsi anni, son rimasta ad osservare i numerosi dicchi, ovvero ‘filoni di rocce intrusive posti tra altre meno resistenti’, … in parole povere quelle lunghe linee di colore e materiale differente che a volte sembrano dei cordoli creati dall’uomo.
Terminato il tour roccioso… É tempo di una corsetta sulla spiaggia lunga 12km, solo i cani eh.. Non esageriamo con il movimento! 🙂

I just need to stay together with my four-legged friends to feel loved and at ease, surely they feel it and reciprocate it as well.  Ziggy and Zorro, my bodyguards, lead me to the best sites in their land.
I trustingly followed them in exploring a slope that extends into the sea between the beaches of Pina and Caraís in Setiba.
I’ve been enchanted by the contrast between the black rocks and the wave’s white foam. As in the last few years I learned something about geology, I find my self getting lost in observing dykes. A dyke, in geological terminology, is a sheet of rock that has formed into a fracture in a pre-existing rock body.
As soon as we had finished the rocky tour, we were ready for a run in the 12km long shore .. Well, just the dogs!
